Lorna Jane Grossner

My earliest experiences and influences of the art world came from my Gran, Margarete Klopfleisch.

Studied for my BA at Loughborough Art School and graduated from

 De Montfort university where I studied for an MA in fine art. Since then have had some successfully exhibitions.


  Sonja Elizabeth Grossner

Professional Violinist  and Composer.

Studied in Dresden at the “Carl Maria von Weber Hochschule für Musik “

Studied for MA at De Montfort university,and PhD at Birmingham Conservatoir.

Performances of her compositions at Vienna Modern Masters, "The fifth movement from the 2nd symphony, 'Genesis' was selected for performance in Birmingham at the Conservatoire 2004 graduation concert.


Margarete Klopfleisch (Grossner)

(August 1911 – November 1982)

Born in Dresden, Germany.

Started her art studies in the Czech Republic with Käte Schäffner.

Belonged to Oskar Kokoschka league, exhibited in Reading, Maidenhead and Cookham with Stanley Spencer.

Ongoing exhibition at Leicester New Walk Museum, 'German expressionism'
